What's Happening?
It's a reoccurring theme around here... Busy, busy, busy! That's the name of the game for now and I don't look for it to change anytime soon. And to be very honest, I don't know if I'd know how to handle "boring".
So, here's the run down on our busy and fun-filled lives:
Chad is doing great. Loving his job. Changed to a new position. Graduating in a few weeks with his Associates degree. Will continue on to UCM this fall to get his Bachelors in Industrial Technology.
I am doing well also. Love my job. :-) No new position for me. I have one more semester left before I graduate with my Associates in Business Management. I've decided to continue on after I graduate to get my Bachelors in Business.
Cody is playing baseball this summer. Looks like he'll be rotating between the pitchers mound and 1st base. Archery is done for this school year. He had a blast and plans to continue with the Archery team in the fall when he starts 5th grade (WHAT?!).
Samantha Grace just finished her Spring Soccer season. She continues to love drawing. We've bought her three drawing portfolios and she has filled two of them already. She definitely has a gift for drawing. Can't believe she'll be 9 in a few weeks and finishing up with her 3rd grade year!!
Chloe Faith also just finished up with her Spring Soccer season. She absolutely loved soccer this season! She scored a few goals and was able to kick around the ball quite a bit. Kindergarten Round-Up was a couple weeks ago, so she is all ready to start school in the fall. It's definitely going to be a change for all us, but very exciting too!
Bubbles is doing great. He doesn't move as fast as he did a few years ago, but then again he will be 13 years old this August! He's getting a bit more sassy in his old age, but we love him more and more everyday! Such a sweet "furry" soul.
Well, that about does it for the updates. I hope everyone has a wonderful summer!!

Playing Outside
Nothing too exciting to report... We've just been enjoying the beautiful weather by playing outside as much as possible! After a week of rain and yucky weather, the sunshine and warm temps are much appreciated!

Easter
This year, we stayed in Missouri for Easter. It was a chilly spring day, but that didn't stop the kids from enjoying some outdoor activities. On Saturday, we attended a pancake feed and Easter Egg hunt on the town's square. Later in the day, we colored our own Easter eggs. Sunday we attended a sunrise service, Bible verse egg hunt, breakfast and worship service at church. When we got home, we also had our own Easter egg hunt and a special dinner in the evening. Lots of family time, outdoor fun and eggs galore!
The kids are waiting for the Egg hunt to start. There were more kids than eggs!!
Getting ready to color our eggs!
Chad is getting in on the action too.
Chloe did really well this year. No broken eggs!
The finished product.
Going through their eggs at the church egg hunt. Chloe is very angry that I won't let her eat EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. OF. CHOCOLATE!! I'm the meanest mother EVER!!
Ready for our Easter egg hunt at home.
Bubbles is mad that I didn't get him a bucket. Furry children pout too!
Cody and Chloe are only worried about who got the most eggs. Bubbles is helping them count.
Chloe won by 1 egg!

The Oldest
Our oldest will be 12 years old in August. It's hard to even imagine. Chad bought him for me when he was just 8 weeks old. He completes our family in a way that no one else can. My baby boy.
Mr. Bubbles
He fell asleep in the grass while the kids were riding their bikes.

I'm not a Vegetable
I'm not sure about all kids, but mine have taken it upon themselves to sneak food to our dog. Cody and Samantha started when they were little. A great game in their mind. They would hang food off the edge of their highchairs and watch the dog jump around, wag his tail and maybe even do a few tricks. Entertainment!!
Chloe has picked up where they left off. She now thinks its a great time to watch Bubbles go crazy for a piece of her food. She teases him. Since he is much older now, he can't jump as high(or at all for that matter) and put on as good of a show. But, that doesn't stop her.
Yesterday, she had some vegetables on her plate. Like every meal time, Bubbles was at her feet. Waiting. Patiently. She took a small vegetable and showed it to him. His tail started to wag and she pulled her arm back like she was going to throw it at him. In unison, Chad and I both said, "Chloe, NO!" So, she pulled her arm back down and put the food on her plate.
Bubbles didn't care. All he knew was that he wanted that food. And so he barked at her. It startled her a bit. Bubbles doesn't normally bark, but this is food we are talking about. Chloe sat still. No food from her. And so he barked again.
This made Chloe a little nervous. She stood up on her chair as if to try to get away from him. He stepped a little closer to her and she yelled, "No, Bubbles!"
The tears began to build in her eyes and the fear was finally revealed to us....she thought perhaps Bubbles would nibble on her a bit since he couldn't have her food....
She cries out to him,
"Bubbles, I'm not a begtable!"

Mr. Bubbles turns 11 years old
August 16, 1999. The day my first baby was born. I loved him the moment I saw him. I knew our lives would never be the same. He has been with us through some of the best and worst days. He always knows exactly how to make me feel better. When I'm sick, he won't leave my side. When I'm sad, he knows that a few kisses is just the trick. And, best of all, he shares this same love with the kids.
We love you, Mr. Bubbles!!

Mr. Bubbles
Today was Mr. Bubbles' follow-up from his surgery. The vet had to run a test to make sure there were no more stones in his bladder. And, GREAT NEWS!! He is doing good. No signs of any more stones or infection. I of course received a scolding from the vet because, like his momma, Mr. Bubbles is overweight. We share a love of food. :) We'll be working on that and hopefully that will help with his arthritis too. I am, however, getting the cold shoulder from Mr. Bubbles this afternoon. He is not pleased that I took him to the doctor. Maybe a treat or two will warm him up....we'll start that diet tomorrow.
