Spelling Bee

Miss Samantha made it into the Spelling Bee this year!  She did an excellent job!  I believe she ended up 7th, but we couldn't be more proud.  Each time she spelled her word correctly, she'd walk back to her chair, take a deep breath of relief and then turn to look at Chad and I sitting in the audience.  A thumbs up was always our quiet response to a job well done.

Preschool Graduation

Our baby girl graduated from Preschool.  I'd be lying if I didn't say that this makes me a little sad.  However, the sadness is overshadowed by the amount of pride and love I have for Miss Chloe and all of her accomplishments!  This Preschool year has been one of trials and triumphs.

We've come a long way from the first day....

1st day - Screaming at the top of her lungs and clinging to me for dear life.

Last day - She was sad that she has to leave her teacher, asking "Can I take Miss Julia with me to Kindergarten?"

So...On Chloe's last day of Preschool I asked her if I could get a picture(singular).  She was more than accommodating!  She requested me to keep taking pictures while she posed.  And, so I did.  Here is the results!  :-)

Easter Service

We stayed home for Easter this year.  Our church's renovations were far enough along that we were able to have service in our new sanctuary.  We were also staying because Chad and the kids were going to be a part of the Easter service.  Chad would narrate during the Cantata and the kids were going to sing and recite scripture.

Our day started with a sunrise service early in the morning, a potluck breakfast, an Easter egg hunt, bible study, and our main service.  A very busy morning, but along with it came many blessings.  We hope your Easter activities were as wonderful as ours!

She's Four!!

Miss Chloe turned 4 Years Old last week!!  She has been so excited about her birthday, knowing that she'll get to go to preschool when she's four.

Her birthday fell on a day that Chad was out of town on business, so her actual birthday was just little fun things for just her to mark her special day.  I let her choose what she wanted for lunch, she rode on her favorite horse, we picked up some cupcakes for her to enjoy and then she enjoyed some of her favorite custard.

We let her pick out her birthday gifts this year and she chose to get a Toy Story 3 scooter and a Jessie, the cowgirl doll.

We celebrated with a birthday cake on Saturday, since Daddy was home.  Even better, Grandpa & Grandma Williams were here to share her cake too!!

Father - Daughter Ball

Each year, our town has an event called the Father/Daughter Ball.  Little girls and their dad can dress up and spend a special evening dancing, getting their pictures taken, face paintings for the girls, and cotton candy.  It's a pretty special event and the proceeds from the tickets go to the children's hospital.  A great cause and a memorable evening for the girls and their daddy.

Happy Mother's Day!!

The day started like it does every year.  Chad gets up super early and gets ready.  He is out the door before 6 a.m. and makes his annual Mother's Day Card Run.  It's about 9 a.m. when I awake to find the bedroom door closed but I hear the whispering behind it..."When is mommy going to get up?"
How sweet.  They let me sleep in!  It wasn't long after that I had three little ones bringing breakfast, cards and homemade gifts into my bed.  Each one wanted me to read "their" card first.  Each one as cute as the next.  After our morning in bed, we decided to go have lunch at one of our favorite BBQ restaurants in Warsaw, The Chuck Wagon.  YUM!!  And, again it didn't disappoint.
Then for afternoon fun we went to the Truman Lake Dam Lookout.  Such a beautiful view of the Lake.  The kids enjoyed looking through the telescopes to get a closer look at the dam.  And of course we loved watching the boats.  After a while at the Lookout, we headed back to Clinton and went bowling.  The kids ask all the time and with it being so overcast and cool, it seemed like a great day for it.  Of course we had a great time.  I think Samantha only dropped her ball one time, Chloe only laid in the lane once and Cody managed to get his bowling ball stuck just twice.  So, overall a success!
The evening we spend at home.  Just a normal, relaxing Sunday evening.  I couldn't think of any other way to end such a special day!
