A New Church

Ever since we moved to Clinton, we have been looking for a new church.  Leaving the church we had in Lincoln was very difficult.  All of us loved our church and we knew it was going to be difficult to find another church that we would feel the same way about.  Still, we knew we had to pursue a new church home.  Chad made a few church visits around Clinton and couldn't seem to find "the one" that was right for us...until a few weeks ago.

We have finally found a new church.  It's so wonderful.

The members are so welcoming and kind.  They make us feel like family, which is such a blessing for me as I have been missing my family more and more lately.  Each Sunday we return, they welcome us with open arms(literally...many hugs for us).  The kids enjoy their Sunday school teacher and are excited each week to share their lessons and activities.

Just as Chloe always does, she has everyone wrapped around her finger.  She has named all of the elderly women, "Granny" and they couldn't be more happy about it.  It seems like each week, she has one more lady asking Chloe to please call her "granny" too.  It's adorable.   Chloe has also learned and is addicted to the shaking of hands and says, "What's your name? My name is Chloe."  As you might know, after a few weeks she no longer needs an introduction.

Cody and Samantha have enjoyed helping after church to clean up and put chairs, hymnals and other items away.  The members really appreciate their help and it's been a great way for them to get to know everyone.

We've only been going for a few weeks, but it feels like home.  It feels like we have been part of this church much longer.  We thought it might take a while to find a new church and it did.  But, the wait was well worth it.

A new church.  A new blessing.

Thanks, Angie. It's the Golden Valley Christian Church.
